Wednesday Evening Pottery Course: 11th Sept – 16th October / 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Unleash your passion for pottery and create stunning pieces in my exclusive 6-week course! Join me every Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm in my plush studio for two hours of immersive learning, where I will teach you essential pottery techniques. Experience a variety of methods, including wheel throwing, pinch pots, coil building, slab rolling, and flower making. In the last week, you will decorate and glaze your creations before taking them home.
Course Highlights: Immerse yourself in a vibrant world of creativity as you master wheel throwing, hand-building projects, surface decoration techniques, and the enchanting art of glazing. I’ll be right by your side, guiding you every step of the way to help you bring your unique ideas to life.

Class Schedule (6 Weeks)
Please note I do only have ONE potters wheel, but there will be enough time for everyone to have a go.
- Week 1: I’ll introduce you to various techniques, including pinch pots, slab rolling, and flower making. Plus, I’ll teach one or two participants how to throw on the potter’s wheel.
- Week 2: Dive into coiling pots or creating pieces using the slab roller. Again, one or two participants will have the chance to learn wheel throwing.
- Week 3: Hone your skills as you continue working on your pottery projects, perfecting your wheel throwing and hand-building techniques, including trimming on the wheel.
- Week 4: Discover exciting decorating techniques, such as surface carving and adding handles, while continuing to trim your pieces on the wheel. We will bisque fire all finished works after this week.
- Week 5: Focus on underglaze surface decoration and practice trimming on the wheel. After this week, we will bisque fire all remaining works.
- Week 6: Complete the course by glazing your creations with clear glaze. You’ll add the final touches using wax or tape to create unique glazing effects. We will glaze fire all works after this week.
After six weeks of hands-on learning, watch your artistic vision come to life as we fire and glaze your pottery creations professionally. Within two weeks of the course’s conclusion, you can pick up your completed works, proudly showcasing your achievements. If you prefer, I can also ship your masterpieces directly to your home for a small additional fee.
